Ole Miss football crushes South Carolina: Final score, highlights from Week 6 game

COLUMBIA, S.C. − Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin said he was not going to overreact to his team’s upset home loss to Kentucky. Saturday showed why.

The No. 12 Rebels beat South Carolina 27-3 today at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Ole Miss (5-1, 1-1 SEC) got a big performance from its defense. The Gamecocks (3-2, 1-2) could not sustain drive against the Rebels’ defense that struggled last week. The Rebels held South Carolina to 1-for-4 on fourth downs. Because of Ole Miss’ strong rushing attack on the goal line, Rebels’ quarterback Jaxson Dart didn’t pass for a touchdown. He had a strong day between the hashes, though, throwing for 285 yards.
