Why Not Cheer: To celebrate togetherness and the beat of our common heritage, we collaborated with Dallas-native spoken word artist ShySpeaks for this performance in observance of Black heritage Month. What a fantastic privilege it is to be involved in this cooperation! This month, DCC great Regina Tucker danced with the DeSoto Eaglettes and their director. It was thrilling to have the opportunity to teach a prep class with students from the dance departments of DeSoto Middle and High Schools. Giving local young dancers a taste of our world inspired them, stoked their passions, and strengthened the relationship between the two groups!
